This is a very special wedding I get to share as my first wedding blog post! This day was full of love and happiness but the best part of the day was the couple! I met Hannah + Matt when we were in college, we use to all go to BCM together. Which is where they met, during a prayer walk one night! Flash forward to 2020 and on Matt’s graduation trip he proposed at Lake Tenaya in Yosemite park! I was so excited when they asked me to capture their big day!

Matt + Hannahs’s wedding day was simple yet elegant. They got married at Hannah’s Father’s Church where he co-officiated the ceremony. The venue for the reception was magical! It was easy to see why they choose this place. The reception hall was covered in rustic charm and filled with magical twinkling lights (and a REALLY good AC unit, it was HOT that day). The lights then carried outside onto the dance floor, where Matt + Hannah danced the night away (Jesus style as Hannah would say).

Three Magical Parts of the day!

First, Matt’s first look with his mom. I love the idea of a mother-son first look! It is a special time for both the Mother and Groom to cherish on his wedding day. Matt and his mother’s first look was such a sweet moment to capture. The joy of getting to see her son and have time before his big day was an indescribable moment.

Second, was while I was capturing the girls getting ready I had them go around and say why they are most thankful for Hannah (FYI for anyone who tries this it will cause happy tears!). While tears did happen, it was an unforgettable moment that showed just how thankful and impactful Hannah is to all of the girls supporting her on her big day!

Third, is my absolute favorite part of the day! Then moment when the groom sees his bride for the first time! When Matt came out at the beginning of the ceremony the tears of joy started before Hannah even walked down the aisle. It was a joyful moment to see knowing that their marriage is full of love. Everyone they encounter will tell you they are two of the most selfless, Jesus-loving people you will meet.

I was honored to be a part of your big day and capturing every moment of it! I hope you are having a magical time on your honeymoon at Disney (My Favorite place ever!!!).
