Brooke’s Charleston Senior Session | From Gardens to a Cotton Candy Sunset

Brooke’s senior session in Charleston was the perfect way to experience everything the Lowcountry has to offer in one unforgettable evening. We planned her session to highlight Charleston’s most iconic locations while creating a gallery full of variety, personality, and timeless portraits. Because we wanted to capture multiple settings, we began around midday and spent the day exploring together.

We started at the breathtaking Middleton Place, wandering through the gardens and historic grounds as soft afternoon light filled the property. One of the most fun surprises was seeing the sheep grazing nearby. It added an unexpected and uniquely Charleston moment to Brooke’s portraits. The lush landscapes, waterfront views, and historic architecture created an elegant and classic beginning to the session.

Next, we made our way downtown to capture the charm and excess Charleston is known for. The energy shifted instantly as we walked through historic streets lined with pastel homes and coastal color. We stopped at Rainbow Row, where Brooke’s style paired perfectly with one of the city’s most recognizable backdrops. These portraits brought a vibrant yet timeless feel to her gallery.

To end the day, we headed to Isle of Palms for sunset on the beach. After a full afternoon exploring Charleston’s most iconic locations, the relaxed coastal setting felt like the perfect finale. Just before the session ended, the sky turned into the most incredible cotton candy sunset. It gave Brooke a dreamy and unforgettable ending to her senior experience.

From gardens to downtown streets and finally the shoreline at sunset, Brooke’s session captured the true Charleston experience — classic, coastal, and completely unforgettable.
