A Snowy Surprise Proposal in Savannah: Trevor & Sydney’s Magical Moment
Some proposals are carefully planned, and some are beautifully unexpected. Trevor and Sydney’s proposal in Savannah was both.
They were visiting Savannah for the weekend, ready to enjoy the city’s charm and historic streets. Trevor had a plan in mind, but as we checked the weather, a rare forecast appeared: snow — something that almost never happens on the Georgia coast. With the forecast in mind, we adjusted the plan. Instead of the original spot, we decided Lafayette Square would be perfect for a winter proposal.
About an hour before the proposal, the first flakes began to fall. The city felt quieter, softer, almost magical. Trevor and Sydney made their way to the square as snow dusted the historic homes and iron fences. And then, in the middle of Lafayette Square, surrounded by gently falling flakes, Trevor got down on one knee.
Sydney’s reaction was everything — tears, laughter, and the pure joy of being completely in the moment. The snow continued as they hugged, and every photo captured that just-engaged feeling: rosy cheeks, wide smiles, and the unmistakable glow of excitement.
Afterward, we wandered the streets of Savannah, capturing portraits in front of Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist as the snow continued to fall, giving the photos a dreamy, storybook quality. As the chill grew, we moved inside The DeSoto Savannah bar for the final shots — warm light, cozy vibes, and a celebratory energy that matched the day perfectly.
What started as a weather surprise became something unforgettable. The snow turned Savannah into a magical backdrop for Trevor and Sydney’s love story, and their photos now capture the joy, spontaneity, and magic of that once-in-a-lifetime moment. ❄️
