My first feature is with Southern Bride! I am beyond blessed to have this incredible editorial featured!

The creative side of being a photographer and capturing images you love and are proud of is a feeling that is indescribable! Being able to create this editorial and see it come to life was so special. I could have not asked for a better vendor team. Getting to partner with incredibly talented Hamilton Events to host this incredible Editorial was a true honor. Ashley and her team brought our vision to life and picked out some of the most incredibly talented vendors to work with! After the incredible day came to life we knew we had something special to showcase. Submitting it to Southern Bride felt like a dream but was the “icing on the cake” to finish an extravagant Editorial. Every part of this day from planning to submitting the final images was perfect!

The Story Behind the Editorial – Written by Ashley Skutka

Inspired by Spring delicacy and intricate details. This dreamy, intimate editorial combined whimsical colors and textures with bold, chic elements to produce a celebration rooted in Southern hospitality. From the gorgeous bridal suite and breathtaking ceremony florals to the exquisite stationery and dusty blue heels, this timeless depiction of garden-inspired weddings is everything we imagined… and more. Every detail was influenced by seasonal tones and layered with refined design to inspire the authentic bride and groom who seek to elevate their Spring wedding.

From the magnolia trees to the open-air chapel, Gracewood Manor was the perfect location to display our elevated Spring wedding inspiration. Carefully crafted stationery by Maddie Laidig Designs highlighted this charming venue on the custom invitation suite. Encapsulating the essence of Spring, the bride’s whimsical blue and white gown was the star of the editorial.

The undeniably mesmerizing custom floral arch crafted by Becca Zorn Designs absolutely took our breath away. Hues of pink and blue among the garden foliage featured the delicacy of Spring throughout this elevated editorial. From the stunning cake by Hey Honey Cakery to the bold bar display from Party Reflections, every element was dripping with floral perfection.

Perhaps our favorite design element was the intricate, yet intimate estate table. Boasting a lush floral installation amongst dainty candlelight, this head table was completed with the elegant texture of a BBJ La Tavola fine linen. A display of elevated Southern hospitality, this table incorporated delicate details from scrolled stationery and hand-painted cookies to sophisticated China and classic glassware.

From the beautiful blue floral escort card display to the natural wood elements of the estate table chairs. This editorial played with rich tones and subtle motifs by incorporating consistency into every element. We loved integrating the overarching design into even the smallest detail. We hope this styled editorial will inspire couples planning their dream wedding!
